Description

Knitted Helmet and Mittens: This pattern contains directions for a snug-fitting helmet and matching mittens - worked in stockinette stitch with gay- colored garter-stitch bands. Use scraps of many colors or make all bands of the same three-tone combination. Each article is knitted in a straight, flat piece, using two needles, then joined into shape. The pattern includes three sizes: small, medium and large. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7001 in 1969.
