Knitted Jacket Pattern, Open Front with Crochet Fringe Trim

Corrida Jacket : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the jacket shown. This jacket starts out quite simple in appearance with almost wrist length sleeves, and open front and above hip length. The simple then, stops there. To this crochet edging is added all the way around and a collar (also crochet) is added, ending with elaborate lace detail and fringe, turning it into one of those WOW pieces. The pattern, Columbia Minerva 761-18, is misses size 10 to 16. The instructions are written for a size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 being shown in parentheses.

Materials:

• Columbia Minerva Nantuk Knitting Worsted (2 oz skein) 8 (8-9-10) skeins Color A5214 and 2 (2-2-2) skeins Colors B-5212. OR
• Knitting Worsted (4 oz skein) 4 (4-5-5) skeins Color A-5005 and 1 (1-1-1) skein Color B-5023
• Knitting Needles: One pair “Boye” Size 8 and one crochet hook Size G

Gauge: 9 sts to 2 inches; 11 rows to 2 inches
