Officially called a jerkin, but a quite nice top with diamond motif woven through and side buttons.

Description

Diamond Jerkin : This pattern contains directions to knit the top pictured. A Jerkin is a vintage name for a sleeveless jacket. This particular design meets that design, with extended shoulders and side button bottom closure. The design is below hip length with a v-neckline and an (optional) diamond stitch motif. The pattern is written for misses size 12, 14 and 16.

MATERIALS:   Mary Lamb Sport Yarn (2-oz. ball), 5 balls Yellow (MC), 1 ball Navy (A) Green (B);   Needles: 1 pr. each No. 2;   6 yarn bobbins.
