Lace Trimmed Dress : This pattern contains directions for knitting, crochet detail, the dress shown. What an elegant dress ! This beauty is a shirtwaist classic with short sleeves, button band to the waist, a small notched collar and belted waistline. The defining feature is a lace pattern stitch on the sleeves and a band near the bottom of the straight skirt. The pattern, vintage 1950s, is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14, 16 and 18 in parentheses.

Bishop's Fansay (1 oz. ball) ; 20 (22,24,26) skeins Buttercup (sub:  wool boucle);   No. 2 knitting needles;   No. 4 steel crochet hook;   10 buttons;   dress zipper;   1 yd. of 1/2" elastic;   1 yd. of 1" grosgrain ribbon.

GAUGE: 8 sts =1"; 12 rows = 1".
