Description

Topaz Coat:   This pattern gives directions to knit the coat pictured.  Vintage 1959 - from McCalls Needlecraft Magazine - is loose fitting with single button closure at neck and knee length.  The pattern is written for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses Fits bust size (32" (34-36").     

MATERIALS:  Unger's Mohair De Luxe, 21 (22-23) 40-gram balls;   Knitting needles Nos. 8, 10 and 10 ½. (Or English sizes 5, 3 and 2.);   Lining fabric. One 1 ½" button; one ½" button. Matching sewing thread.

GAUGE: 7 pats (14 sts)=4" ; 5 rows =1" (pat, No. 101/2 needles).
