Knitted Slipper Socks Pattern, Rag Soles, Design 7391

Knitted Slipper Socks:  This pattern contains directions for making a knitted slipper sock. The sock, done in Knitting Worsted, is knitted around and around in a very simple pattern stitch with no shaping for heel. Crocheted soles, made of rags, complete the slippers. The sock can be adjusted to fit any size sole. Directions are given for soles in three sizes - large, medium and small size.

Materials:  1 (3-3/4 ounce) skein of white and 1/2 ounce each of red and blue Knitting Worsted;   A set of four No. 5 bone (American) or No. 8 bone (English) sock knitting needles (pointed at both ends);   A No. 6 bone crochet hook and 120 yards of unbleached rags 3/4 inch wide.
