Knitted Tweed Walking Suit Pattern

Les Bourgeons No 6100 : This pattern contains directions to knit the outfit shown. Termed a walking suit, the designs consists of a straight skirt with hook and eye closure, along with a splendid jacket. The jacket is loose-fitting with a neckband, long sleeves, below hip length, side seam slits and a marvelous 4 button front closure. The design is vintage 1960, from Unger, and is size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses.

Materials:

• Unger's LES BOURGEONS 22 (25-27) 50 gr balls
• Hero Size 8 Knitting Needles, OR THE SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO OBTAIN STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW:
• Hero Size 6, Steel Crochet Hook Size 0;
• 2 Yards Lining Material;
• 5 Buttons;
• 3/4 yard 1-1/2" Grosgrain ribbon;
• 7" Slide Fastener for Skirt;
• 1/4 yard Pellon.

GAUGE:With Size 8 Needles: 7 sts = 2";9 rows = 2"
