No 679 Ribbed Sheath Dress : This pattern contains directions for knitting the dress pictured. And ... what a splendid dress it is Worked in an all-over rib stitch with short sleeves and round contrast collar. Wear with or without purchased belt. The pattern, vintage 1954, is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses.

Materials:

Fleisher's or Bear Brand Sport Tweed. 24 (26-28) ozs. Fleisher's Superior Knitting Worsted or Bear Brand Standard Knitting Worsted. Contrasting Color for Collar, 4 ozs. Bucilla Circular Steel Needles, 1 each Sizes 5 and 8.

MEASUREMENTS FOR BLOCKING

• Skirt — width at lower edge 48 (50-52) ins. At 9 ins. below waistline 43 (45-47) ins
• At waistline 25 (261/2-28) ins.
• Width at bustline 34 (36-38) ins.
• Sleeves — width at underarm 11 ½ (12 ¼-13) ins.

GAUGE: 5 sts=1 inch; 13 rounds or rows=2 inches
