Knitting Pattern Scarf Hat Mittens

Scarf, Hat, Mittens: This pattern gives directions to knit the accessory set pictured. "Fringed Scarf, Pomponned Hat are worked in easy lace stitch. Knit warm mittens on double-pointed needles". The pattern states size medium, however, mittens can be lengthened or shortened as needed.

MATERIALS:  Knitting worsted, 5 4-oz. skeins;   Sets of dp needles Nos. 3 and 5;   Knitting needles Nos. 5 and 6. (Or English sizes 10, 8 and 7.);   Tapestry needle.   Steel crochet hook size 00.

GAUGE: 11 sts = 2" (pattern, No. 6 needles). 6 sts = 1" (stockinette stitch, No. 5 needles).
