This classic design, vintage 1947, is easily created in a combination of knot stitch and double crochet.  

Description

Circular Shawl :   This pattern contains instruction to crochet the Shawl pictured above. The circular shaped shawl drapes loosely over the shoulders and down to below hips in the back. It is bordered with a double stripe. The shawl is 42 inches in diameter. Strands of metallic thread (optional) create evening glitz.  This is one of those patterns where you want to call out to the model ... Hey - turn around and let me see the front.  Of course, she isn't listening!
