Large Crochet Square for Cloth Scarf, Design 610

Crocheted Square:  This pattern contains directions for a crocheted square in a star design, with plain mesh corners, to be worked in either a single or double strand of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. It can be used to make many household articles. Worked with two strands of cotton, jiffy crocheted square makes a mat or doily; two or three will make a scarf.   The square may be crocheted at 8-1/2 or 12-1/2 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 610.    The pattern was included in Needlecraft Services 1963 Pattern Catalog.
