Large Pineapple Square Crochet Pattern, Mail Order 7086

Crocheted Square:  This pattern contains directions to crochet the square shown.  This crocheted square, worked in pineapple design with scallops of plain mesh, can be made either in fine or heavy cotton. When joined together, the squares form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and other household articles. One square can be used as a pillow top, doily or mat. For a luncheon set, make a small scarf for centerpiece and one square for each place mat.   The squares may be crocheted at 12 or 16 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7086.  "Quickly crocheted squares - pineapples are set off with scallops in mesh.  Effective!  These squares have many uses from a single doily, scarf to a luncheon set that adds luxury to a table".
