Laura Wheeler 812, Crocheted Square

Crocheted Square:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the pineapple square pictured.  These two medallions can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. When joined together the medallions form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows.  The primary medallion is 2 inches; the fill in motif is 2 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 812.  The newspaper description:  "It's crochet magic - squares when joined, for two distinct designs. And the square is mainly in your favorite pineapple design. Make lovely accessories from this versatile square!"

Materials:  Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 10 steel crochet hook;   or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.
