Laura Wheeler Design 857 Crochet 8 Point Star Doily Pattern

Design 857 : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown. This is a lovely vintage 1940s design for an Eight Point Star Doily. The doily can be made in three different sizes by varying the materials. The doilies are crocheted in three sizes each of small and large.  The small doilies are 11, 14 and 19 inches; the large doilies are 15, 19 and 26 inches in diameter. 

This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 857 in 1947.    This pattern was also featured in the Laura Wheeler 1948 Designs Catalog.
