Description

Valley Lily : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily pictured. The design, vintage 1960s from American Thread Company, uses Mercerized Crochet Cotton in blue and silver spangle to create the doily, which will be a large 21 or 22 inches in diameter. The doily has a central leaf motif that is surrounded by ample amounts of mesh, then reaches a border that features the three petaled Valley Lily flowers with little blue motifs. It finishes with a simple scalloped edge.

  • AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY The Famous "PURITAN" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40, 2 balls White, 1 ball Violet (Approximate size 21 inches in diameter)
  • or The Famous "PURITAN" STAR SPANGLED MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40, 4 balls Silver Spangle, 1 ball Blue Spangle or colors of your choice (Approximate size: 22 inches in diameter) and "STAR" MERCERIZED EMBROIDERY COTTON, Article 50, 1 Skein Medium Orange
