Description

Hairpin Lace: This pattern gives directions to crochet the doily shown. This design is a quite elaborate scalloped design, with shell like borders that is worked around a linen center. The finished doily will measure 13-1/2 inches in diameter.

Materials:

  • AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "GEM" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 35, size 30 or "STAR" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 20, size 30 – 1 ball each White and Bright Red or colors of your choice.
  • Hairpin Staple 1 inch wide.
  • Steel crochet hook No. 12.
  • 1/4 yd. White linen or Indian Head.
