Long Crochet Baby Layette Pattern Set

Susan Outdoor Set :   This pattern gives directions for crocheting the baby set pictured.   This pretty set features a long draping sacque, accompanied by booties, mittens and a cap.  The pattern is sized for baby at six to twelve months. Note:  The material specified in this pattern is no longer available; substitute a nylon yarn that meets the gauge.

MATERIALS

• Lorraine Perlette (All Rayon), 24 balls (Coat 17 balls; Bonnet 3 balls; Bootees 2 balls; Mittens 2 balls).
• Steel Crochet Hook, Size 4.

MEASUREMENTS-Width of back at underarm 9 ½ inches - across each front 5 ¼ inches. Length from lower edge to underarm 14 ½ inches. Sleeves - Width below underarm 7 inches.

GAUGE:
Shell Pattern--9 shells= 4 inches; 9 rows=2 inches
Single Crochet-9 sts=1 inch; 11 rows=1 inch
