Crocheted Shell Stitch Cape: A swingy cape in the lovely Shell-stitch will be a most welcome addition to the wardrobe... in either white or favorite color. DIRECTIONS ARE GIVEN FOR SMALL (8-10) SIZE. CHANGES FOR MEDIUM (12-14) and LARGE (16-18) Sizes are in PARENTHESES.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5441 in 1972.   An interesting note (or maybe not), this pattern was advertised only in the State of Illinois.

MATERIALS; COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" KNITTING WORSTED, 4-Ply ("Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 30 (32, 36) ounces of Mauve; 4 ( 4, 4) ounces of White; 4 ( 4, 4) ounces of Deep Purple. (Or colors desired). NEEDLE: CROCHET HOOK...Size I for Small Size; Size J for Medium Size; Size K for Large Size. ACCESSORIES: 4 Buttons and 3 Snap Fasteners.
