Description

Style No 1944 : This pattern contains directions for knitting the coat pictured. This is a long, knee length (or as desired) coat, that will be both easy to knit as to wear. The coat features long saddle sleeves, a large stand-up collar, over-sized patch pockets and front button closure from the hips up. The pattern is written for misses size small (8-10) with changes for medium (12-14) and large (16-18) in parentheses.

Materials:

  • BERNAT Jaeger Shire Spun (40 gram balls) — 31(32-33)
  • 1 pair each BERNAT-Aero straight knitting needles Nos. 8 and 10-1/2 ; (Canadian Needles Nos. 6 and 2) OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL GIVE THE STITCH GAUGE GIVEN BELOW
  • 1 BERNAT-Aero crochet hook Size J ; (Canadian Wool Crochet Hook No. 8)
  • 4 buttons; 1 small button
  • Lining, if desired

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch6 rows = 1 inch

NOTE 1: Yarn is used double throughout.

NOTE 2: This coat has been planned for 27(27-27 ½) inch finished length to underarm, allowing 2 inches for stretching. If you wish your coat to be longer or shorter, work more or less inches before first decrease row.
