Loop Stitch Bordered Rug Crochet Pattern

Scottie Dog Rug : This pattern contains directions for a crocheted area rug. The rug, worked in an easy pattern stitch is finished with a wide loop stitch border. The design includes a Scottie dog motif that is made of felt and sewn to the rug. If Scottie dogs are not your thing, this design is still quite attractive .. create in multi-colored yarn, or use the center for a cross stitched border of your choice. The finished rug measures 30 x 40 inches. This pattern is vintage 1940's from The Spool Cotton Company.

Materials:

• CLARK'S O.N.T. COTTON RUG YARN, 23 balls each of Cream and Blue
• CLARK'S O.N.T. Rug Hook, Size G
• 1/2 yard each of red and black felt.
