Loop Stitch Ripples : This pattern contains directions to crochet the afghan shown. The picture is not excellent, but this afghan is. A ripple in unexpected colors of orange and watermelon, worked into the ripple motif using the loop stitch. This comes out as a cheerful, loopy ripple that you'll love to sit on the couch and run your fingers through. And, if that is not enough, there are instructions for a matching pillow as well. The finished afghan, vintage 1960s from American Thread, measures 42 x 70.

• 33 ounces each Watermelon and Orange for
• Afghan
• 4 ounces each color for Pillow
• Aluminum Crochet Hook Size J
• ½ yd lining material
• Cotton or Kapok for filling
