Mans Basketweave Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Basket-weave cardigan : This pattern contains directions to knit the cardigan pictured. A handsome classic design, this cardigan is worked in a combination of stockinette and basket-weave. Just as a classic cardigan should, it has long sleeves, a v-neckline, hip length, a 6 front button band and ribbing in all the usual places. The design, vintage 1952, is written for mans size 36, with changes for 38, 40, 42 and 44 in parentheses.

Materials:

• Pingouin Nageur, 10 (10-11-11-12) 50 gr. balls Souci (Yellow)
• Hero Knitting Needles No. 2;
• 5 buttons 5/8" width.

Gauge:

• (Stockinette) 8 sts = 1"; 10 rows = 1".
• (Basket. Weave Stitch) 10 sts = 1"; 9 rows = 1".
