Mans Cable Sleeveless Sweater Knitting Pattern with Tri-Color Trim

Very British: This pattern contains directions to knit the garment shown. Whether you call this design a sleeveless sweater, or a pullover vest, one has to admit this is an attractive choice. Cable pattern stitch all the way around, along with a v-neckline hip length and three color bands around the neck and hemline. The pattern, vintage 1940 from the Spool Cotton Co. is sized for men 36, with changes for 38, 40 and 42 in parentheses.

Materials:

• CHADWICK'S RED HEART SPORTS YARN, 9 balls (1 oz. balls) of White and 1 ball each of Red and Blue for sizes 36 and 38; 10 balls of White and 1 ball each of Red and Blue for sizes 40 and 42.
• MILWARD'S Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2-1/2 mm. size) and 1 pair No. 3 ( 3 mm. size).
