Description

Knitted Cardigan: This pattern has instructions for knitting the cardigan shown. This early 1950s design from Botany was referred to as a windbreaker. Whatever it might be called; it's a handsome option for the man. Faux double breasted look, with long sleeves, a large shawl type collar, back buttoned band to control the loose fitting effect, and deep ribbing. The pattern is sized for men 38, 40, 42, 44 and 46.

Materials:

  • Botany Brand Germantown Knitting Worsted (2 oz. skein), 12 (13, 14, 15, 16) sks.
  • No. 2 and No. 5 knitting needles.
  • 10 medium size buttons,
  • 2 small buttons.

GAUGE: 11 sts = 2"; 7 rows = 1".

Knitted Chest Measurements Buttoned: 40 (42, 44, 46, 48)".
