Description

Tweed Vest : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the vest shown. The checked, or tweed, knitted vest is on the shorter side at waist length. It has a 6 button closure and front pockets. Contrast color bands run along all openings as well as the pocket flaps. This vintage 1962 pattern is mens size 38, 40 and 42.

Materials:

  • COLUMBIA-MINERVA Nylon and Wool Fingering Yarn (1 oz. skein). Color A-6 (7-8) skeins; Colors B, C and D-1 (1-2) skeins for each size.
  • BOYE knitting needles No.2;
  • BOYE steel crochet hook No. 1.

GAUGE: Pattern St-8 sts = 1"; 12 rows = 1".
