Description

Knitted Slip-Over : This pattern contains directions to knit the slip-over shown. The slip-over, or sleeves sweater, is knitted in an all-over pattern stitch, with lowered V-neckline and banding at the neck and sleeves; ribbing at the bottom. The pattern, vintage 1950, is mans size 36, with changes for 38, 40 and 42 in parentheses. I would suggest this pattern is rated beginner to intermediate.

Materials:

  • 7 1-oz. pull skeins "Botany" Brand Bylon for Sizes 36 and 38; 8 1-oz. pull skeins "Botany" Brand Bylon for Sizes 40 and 42; Suggested color, No. 2006 (Town Beige) ;Knitting Needles Nos 2 and 4;
  • tapestry needle.

Gauge: 7 sts = 1"; 9 rows = 1".
