Description

Westward Ho: This pattern contains instructions to knit the sweater pictured. The official description: "Here's a popular V-neck sweater -- a good bold cable stitch on the front, plain ribbing on the back ". The pattern, vintage 1940 from Spool Cotton Co., is mans size 38, with changes for 40, 42 and 44 in parentheses.

Materials:

  • CHADWICK'S RED HEART SWEATER WOOL, 17 balls ( 1 oz. balls) for size 38; 18 balls for size 40; 20 balls for size 42; and 21 balls for size 44.
  • MILWARD'S Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 4 (3-1/2 mm. size) and 1 pair No. 6 (4-1/4mm. size).
