Maple Leaf File Crochet Doilies Design 7101 Small Large

Design 7101: This pattern contains directions to create the doilies shown. This pattern motif here is an attractive maple leaf design with wide scalloped edges worked in filet crochet. Make the doilies to be used individually, or combine together to create lovely luncheon set combinations. The doilies are sized small and large .... or perhaps better said, large and extra large .... depending upon materials used.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7101. The newspaper description:  "This leaf design, in filet crochet, will make the lovely centerpiece and place mats you have long wanted. And, incidentals doilies too! Easy to follow filet charts. Directions for two doilies; one 18 and the other 14 inches when made in No 50 cotton".

 Materials:

• - No 50 Mercerizer Crochet Cotton and a No 12 steel crochet hook to create doilies 18 inches or 13 1/2 inches.
• - No 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No 10 steel crochet hook to create doilies 21 1/2 inches and 16 inches.
• - Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton and a No 8 steel crochet hook to create doilies 27 inches and 20 inches.
