Misses Checked Suit Knit Pattern

Checked Suit : This pattern contains directions to knit the suit shown. This knit suit is cool and crisp; just downright handsome. A two piece suit in a checked pattern stitch gives it great visual interest. Knit in two tones of grey (or color of your choice), darker shade borders the neckline and jacket edges. It has three quarter length sleeves and is hip length. The skirt is straight with a back zipper closure. This vintage 1960s design is misses size 12, 14, 16 and 18.

Materials:

• REYNOLDS Parfait, 11 (12-13-14) 3/4 oz. skeins of Dark (D) and 9 (10-11-12) skeins of Light (L) in coordinated colors;
• HERO Knitting Needles, 1 pro each No. 5 and No. 7 OR SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO KNIT TO GAUGE
• 4 buttons;
• 2 yds. grosgrain ribbon 1 ½" wide;
• 7" skirt zipper;
• heavy snap fasteners.

GAUGE: Pattern St on No.7 needles, 6 ½ sts = 1"; 9 ½ rows = 1".
