Misses Fitted Textured Suit Jacket Skirt Knitting Pattern

Sutton Place Suit : This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet detail edges, the vintage 1965 Jackie O style suit pictured above. Its a textured suit with padded collar filling (for a rolled look), subtle fitting, welt trims, three quarter sleeves and waist length. The slim skirt has corresponding knit-in welts and an elasticized waistline. Both the jacket and the skirt are lined. The pattern is sized 12 to 18. Instructions are given for size 12. Changes for 14, 16 and 18 are shown in parentheses.

Materials:

• - Bernat Jaeger Molin-Spun- 1 oz balls
• - 24 inch circular needle No 6 for skirt
• - 14 inch knitting needles No 6 for jacket (Or English size 7)
• - One dp needle
• - Steel croceht hook No 00
• - Four 1 inch buttons
• - One hook and eye
• - One yard 1/2 elastic
• - Three yards taffeta for lining
• - Cotton for stuffing collar
• - Stitch holders and thread

Gauge: 4 sts = 1 inch; 6 rows = 1 inch
