Description

Cable Stitched Cardigan: This pattern contains directions to knit the cardigan sweater. A fair easy knit, suitable for advancing beginners, the pattern features long sleeves, a V-neckline and medium(ish) cables that are spaced several inches apart that run down the sleeves and front and back panels. It has a front four button band and is below hip length. This 1950s knitting pattern was issued as FA-274 by the Womens Home Companion. The pattern is misses size 12, 14 and 16.

Materials:

  • For sizes 12 and 14 - 7 balls Bernat Laurel spun
  • For size 16 - 8 balls Bernat Laurel spun
  • 1 pair each long Straight Knitting Needles Nos. 1 and 3 (standard)
  • 1 extra Double Point Needle
  • 4 Buttons

Gauge: 15 sts - 2 inches; 10 rows 1 inch
