Misses Lumber Jacket Knitting Pattern

Lumber Jacket : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet edges, the jacket shown. This garment features a most interesting look, with open front and waist band closing, squared shoulders (with shoulder pads), long sleeves that bell at the cuffs, waist length and pocket flaps above breast level. This pattern, which appeared in a 1948 issue of Smart Knitting, is sized for Misses 14, 16 and 18.

Materials:

• Spinnerin Marvel Twist 6 (6,7) 4-oz. skeins, or Spinnerin Cubtwist 12 (12,14) 2-oz. skeins. Small amount of CC for trim.
• No. 4 and No. 7 knitting needles,
• No. 5 crochet hook.
• Zipper or hook and eyes for waist fastening.
• Shoulder pads. Seam binding to match.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1". 7 rows =1".
