Description

Net and Pillette Jacket: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the jacket pictured above. The jacket, a delightful filet mesh pattern, has long loose fitting sleeves and is finished with an embroidered band. The embroidery is lazy daisies in which a paillete is added for bling and color. (Bead substitution might be equally as interesting). This 1960s pattern is sized 10 to 16. Instructions are for size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 shown in parentheses.

Materials:

  • COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "Speed-Cro-Sheen" Mercerized Cotton: 13 (14-15-16) balls.
  • COATS & CLARK'S "Red Heart" Super Fingering, 3 Ply (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 1 oz. each of 2 colors for embroidery.
  • Approx.75 gold paillettes 3/4 in diameter.
  • Crochet Hook: MILWARDS steel crochet hook No. 2/0 (00) or size required to work to gauge.


Gauge: Filet Mesh - 2 spaces = 1"; 2 rows = 1". Sc Borders: 5 sc = 1"; 6 rows = 1".
