Northern Lights Crocheted Afghan Pattern

Northern Lights :   This crochet pattern gives directions to knit, crochet detail, the afghan pictured.   This delightfully colorful design was named Northern Lights, vintage 1950 from American Thread Co.   The design is knit in a Rainbow blend of Knitting Worsted and offset with black contrast color.   It's actually a quite easy pattern that will measure 52 x 72 inches when completed.  

Materials:   

• AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED, 22 ounces Rainbow, 34 ounces Black or colors of your choice  
• 1 Pr. Knitting Needles No. 10 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW  
• Plastic Crochet Hook Size G  

GAUGE: 4 sts = 1 inch, 5 rows = 1 inch
