Description

No 973 Knitted Sweater : This pattern contains instructions for knitting the sweater shown. The official 1950 magazine description: "Openwork Yoke and butterfly collar are important details in the expert designing that goes into this lovely cardigan. Body and sleeves “line-up” in different directions, form a perfect geometric pattern. The back is pointed up with a v-pattern meeting at the center"

SIZES 14, 16, 18 - Instructions are for size 14. Changes for sizes 16 and 18 are in parentheses.

Materials:

  • Hiawatha British Shrink Resistant 3-Ply Super-Fingering Wool, Art. 30, 10 (10-11) 1-oz. skeins.
  • Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 3 (standard). English sizes 12 and 10.
  • Seven buttons.
  • 1 ¼ yds. of 1" grosgrain ribbon.
