Oval Crochet Pineapple Doilies Design 3029

Crocheted Doilies: These oval crocheted doilies can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. They can be used as buffet and luncheon sets or as odd doilies.  Crochet the large doilies at 12 x 24 or 16 x 36 inches.  Crochet the small doilies at 10-1/2 x 13 or 14 x 18 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3029 in 1944.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   The large doily requires approximately 375 yards of fine cotton or 525 yards of heavy cotton;   The small doily requires approximately 175 yards of fine cotton or 210 yards of heavy cotton.
