Oval Pineapple Doilies Crochet Pattern Design 834

Crocheted Doilies:  These two doilies can be made either of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They can be used to form buffet and luncheon sets or they can be used as odd doilies.  The large doilies are 16 x 30 or12 x 22 inches.  The small doilies are 15 or 11 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 834 in 1944.   It was earlier marketed by Laura Wheeler in 1940.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 5 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 9 steel crochet hook.   The oval doily requires approximately 341 yards of heavy cotton or 250 yards of fine cotton.  The round doily requires approximately 190 yards of heavy cotton or 140 yards of fine cotton.
