Oval Pineapple Doilies Crochet Pattern, Laura Wheeler 901

Crocheted Doilies:  These crocheted doilies, worked in pineapple design, can be made either of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The choice of the cotton governs the size and texture of the doilies.  Depending upon materials selected, the large doilies are 13 x 19 or 17 x 30 and the small doilies are 8 x 10-1/2 or 12 x 16. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 901 in 1950.   

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 10 steel crochet hook OR unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook;   The large doily requires approximately 350 yards of No. 30 cotton or 500 yards of heavy cotton;  The small doily requires approximately 110 yards of No. 30 cotton or 180 yards of of heavy cotton.
