Pansy Bordered Doily Pattern Anne Cabot 5711

Pansy Doily:  A lovely gift to crochet - a 13 1/2 inch doily with a border of 1 1/2 inch pansies done in shaded purple and lavender or shaded blue thread. It can be made in all white, of course, but the flower shades for the pansies make it a most attractive and unusual centerpiece.  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot No 5711 in 1944.  This design was included in the Anne Cabot 1949 Needlework Album, as well as a couple pattern inserts (on other pattern pages).

Materials:  2 balls #30 White mercerized crochet cotton, 2 balls #30 Blue variegated mercerized crochet cotton, 3 ball #30 Green variegated mercerized crochet cotton;  Needle: #10 steel crochet hook.
