Vintage 1942

Peacocks are always decorative; so add this one to your accessories.  This lovely one in filet crochet can serve as a door panel or as a wall decoration; it's done in string or finer cotton.  

Description

Filet Crochet Door Panel:   This filet crochet door panel can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, of No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The weight of the cotton governs the size of the panel. Directions are given telling how to enlarge the panel. Included in the pattern is a chart of the entire panel with instructions describing now the chart is to be used.  The panel may be created at 16 x 30, 13 x 24, 11 x 20.    Note:  Due to chart size, it is displayed on two pages.  You will need to tape together, or work from a screen.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   The pattern was published as Laura Wheeler 1987 in 1942.
