Pineapple Centerpiece Crochet Doily, Two Color, 17 inches

Pineapple Doily : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown. In the pineapple doily, the pineapples pop out by being worked in a subtle contrast color. The piece starts with a lacy medallion, surrounded by a round of 16 small pineapples, more lace, another 16 larger pineapples and more lace, climaxing in an ample scalloped border. The finished piece is 17 inches in diameter. The design is vintage 1950s from Lily Mills.

Materials:

• DAISY MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Art. 65: 1 skein each Lt. Pink and Rose Pink, Size 20; or
• LILY MERCROCHET MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. 161: 2 balls Baby Pink and 1 ball Beauty Pink.
• No. 12 Steel Crochet Hook.
