Pineapple Cloverleaf Quill Crochet Doily Pattern

Quill: This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown. The pattern, worked in No 40 Mercerized Crochet Cotton, is called a Quill, but (IMO) more resembles a cloverleaf. There are four panel sets with three pineapples in each set and joined together to form the medium 13 or 14 inch doily. This pattern is vintage 1960s from American Thread.

• AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY The Famous "PURITAN" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40 – 1 ball White, Cream or Ecru (Approximate size: 13 inches at widest point)
• or The Famous "PURITAN" STAR SPANGLED MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON, Article 40 – 2 balls Silver Spangle or color of your choice (Approximate size: 14 inches at widest point)
• Steel crochet hook No. 7
