Crocheted Doilies : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doilies shown. The official write-up:  The doilies, depending upon materials used, can be made in a large size of 16 or 27 inches and a smaller size of 18 or 22 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7147.  It was included in the the 1945 Alice Brooks Design Catalog and  Alice Brooks 1949 Designs Catalog.  This pattern was marketed a second time under the Alice Brooks brands, as well as The American Weekly brnad.

Materials:   No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 14 steel crochet hook or No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook;   or unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (700 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   The large doily requires approximately 350 yards of No. 50 cotton or 405 yards of No. 30 cotton or 520 yards of heavy cotton.  The small doily requires approximately 185 yards on No 50 cotton or 227 yards of No 30 cotton or 325 yards of heavy cotton.
