Pineapple Crochet Doily Pattern with Edging

Crochet Doily:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the mat and napkin edging pictured.  This pattern set was originally billed as a luncheon set, with the doily being mats with the edged napkins.   The design could certainly be used as a mat, but so much more so - at 18 inches in diameter - a doily.   Your choice, of course.  

Materials:  J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A.64: 2 balls of No. 76 Robinette;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
