Pineapple Crochet Scarf and Mats, Alice Brooks Design 7070

Crocheted Scarf and Mat:  This pattern contains directions for a crocheted scarf to be made any desired length using either fine or heavy cotton. The scarf is done in a combination of spider web and pineapple design. The mats are 15 x 18 or 20 x 26.  The scarf can be made at 15 x 26 or 20 x 35 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.   This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7070 in 1951.   "It's amazing.  You can crochet a fifteen inch scarf in No 30 cotton for a tray.  Or do a long runner for a table or the buffet.  Scarf makes up in any size length, including lunch mat size".
