Pineapple Embroidered Crochet Afghan Pattern

Royal Splendour : This pattern, vintage 1940s from Spool Cotton Company (American Thread) contains instructions to create the lovely Afghan picture above. This piece worked in afghan stitch has a pineapple motif cross stitched pattern in the center (graph included).

The afghan is officially named Royal Splendour and measures 50 x 70 inches (including fringe).

Materials Required:

• - Chadwicks Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 56 bals (1 oz) of Blue; 6 balls of white (for embroidery).
• - Bone Afghan Hook No 6 (4 /14 mm size).

Gauge: 6 sts make 1 inch; 4 rows make 1 inch.
