Pineapple Shell Border Crochet Chair Set Design 716

Crocheted Chair Set : This pattern contains instructions for crocheting the chair set pictured. This is quite a pretty set, worked in Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The set starts with a central wheel with pineapple spokes that are nicely separated with large shells, forming large scallops. The chair back measures 11 x 18 inches and the arm rests are 6 x 11 inches each.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and magazines. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 716.  The newspaper description:  "An 11 x 18 inch chair back in a pretty combination of stitches is the perfect pattern for large chairs or sofa.
