Three Crochet Pineapple Doilies Design 505

Crocheted Doilies: This pattern contains directions for three small matching worked that are worked in a combination of pineapple and shell stitches using Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The first doily is round, measuring 14 inches in diameter. The second doily is square at 14 inches. The oval doily has the same center motif as the square doily, but with added larger shell ends for a piece that will measure a large 14 x 20 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 505 (Reader Mail), in 1988.    This is an interesting variation of the Three Crocheted Doilies series.  Here they only give one size of the doilies, where in Design 699, each doily is given in three sizes each.
