Pineapple Shell Crochet Square Pattern Design 711

Crocheted Square:  This pattern contains directions for a crocheted square worked in star-of-pineapples design with shell-stitch scallops. Squares can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs, TV cover. One square makes a lovely mat or pillow top. Use either fine or heavy cotton.   Depending upon materials selected, the square will measure 12 or 16 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 711.  The newspaper description:  "Add a touch of luxury to your home with these lacy squares in pineapple design, shell stitch. One square makes a doily or luncheon mat or three a scarf. Shell stitch sets of pineapples".
