Pinwheel Doily Crochet Pattern , Pansy Border

Flower Doily: This pattern gives directions to crochet the doilies pictured. This design is from pattern Leaflet No C-791 from Coats and Clark's, vintage 1960. . It starts with a pinwheel base surrounded by lacy mesh. To this, separate directions are given to add either a rose or a pansy border. Each doily will measure approx. 14 1/2 in diameter.   Coats & Clarks named these designs Ring of Roses and Pansy Posies

Materials:  J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A. 64: 1 ball of No. 1 White for each doily; and 2 balls of No. 15-A Shaded Dk. Pinks for Rose Doily; or 1 ball each of No. 19 Shaded Yellows and No. 18-A Shaded Purples (or 1 ball of any color) for Pansy Doily;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
